Oscar the Waldorf Cake (as inherited in a box of old receipts)
1/2 c. butter
2 c sugar
1 1/2c sweet milk
4 squares chocolate
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nut meats
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, melted chocolate. Then add dry ingredients alternately with
milk. Put nuts in flour. Bake at 350 degrees. This will make 2 layers. Use 7 minute icing, chocolate or caramel. may be topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
